Beaver County High School Football Coverage on PSN

Pittsburgh Sports Now is excited to begin its tomorrow of the 2017 High School Football season.

In the past, our coverage of high school football has centered on recruiting but this year we’re going to change that by having coverage throughout the week and staffing two Beaver County games on Friday night.

During the week, we’ll have team rankings, Beaver County statistical leaders, team features, player and recruiting profiles, game previews and recaps, plus a complete wrap up of Beaver County games on Saturday.

Our Beaver County high school football coverage will be provided by Matt Popchock, Scott Elliott, Rich Donahue, Mike Vukovčan and we’re excited to say we’ll be teaming up the WPIAL Insider (who’ll be announcing something big very shortly).

Every Friday night, we’ll be sending reporters to two different games involving teams in Beaver County. This Friday, our two spotlight games are Freedom at Hopewell and Ambridge at Moon.

Of course, this addition to PSN is possible because of local sponsors. We’d like to thank and ask you to please support them. Week one coverage on PSN is brought to you by Martin’s Lawn Service in Hopewell (724-375-7150), Vocelli’s Pizza and owner Bill Cummings who owns stores in Hopewell, Rochester and Dormont, Dunkin’ Donuts and Moon Golf Club (Come Spend The Day Golfing!)

Finally, we’re excited to announce that every Saturday we’re going to announce a Beaver County Player of the Week. That player will be awarded a gift certificate to both Vocelli’s of Hopewell (thru first 3 weeks of season) and to Dunkin’ Donuts (every Saturday thru high school season). At the end of the regular season, we’ll announce a Pgh Sports Now/Dunkin’ Donuts Player of the Year.

We look forward to getting started and having a fun 2017 high school football season.
