PITTSBURGH — “When you play against a zone and don’t make shots, it’s a difficult, difficult game.”
That was Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim, speaking about his Orange team that shot 35.2 percent from the floor in its 60-55 win over the Pitt Panthers on Saturday. But it could have been about both teams, as the Panthers shot an even-worse 27.7 percent, with both teams playing similar 2-3 zone defense.
