PITTSBURGH — The Duquesne women’s basketball team is heading to Richmond, Va. to take part in the 2018 Atlantic-10 Tournament.

The Dukes have had a lot of success over the last five years under head coach Dan Burt. They’ve been to the WNIT three times. They’ve been to the NCAA Tournament once. They’ve also won the regular-season A-10 title.

But they’ve never won an A-10 tournament.

They’ll be looking to change that this week, as this year, the 23-6 Dukes will likely have to win three straight games in the conference tournament to secure another NCAA bid.

The second-place Dukes received a first-round bye and will play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Richmond. They’ll play the winner of the Massachusetts – St. Louis game, which is being played Tuesday night in St. Louis.

Here’s Burt and guard Chassidy Omogrosso on the team’s season and what lies ahead in “tournament time.”
