The Pitt coaching staff spent the morning watching and working out players that have Division-I talent and aspirations.

The question is whether any of these players will earn an offer from Pitt?

One of the many players hopping he made an impression today during camp was West Mifflin 2019 safety Parrish Parker.

The talented local athlete currently holds offers from Toledo, Ball State, Buffalo and Howard.

Following camp today, PSN spoke to Parker and got his thoughts on today and what he thinks he was able to show the Panther coaches.

“I wanted to show them that I’m capable of playing for them. I came into today thinking and hoping that I can get an offer,” said Parker. “I believe I showed them my athleticism, my work ethic and I believe I did really well in the individual drills. The Pitt coaches knew I was coming so I believe they were expecting to see a lot from me.”

Because of this, did Parker feel any extra pressure coming into today?

“I wanted to show them what I can do and that I’m here and that I was ready to compete and hopefully it was good enough to earn an offer,” said Parker.

“I was with Coach Sanders mostly but also talked to Coach Collins. Pitt is basically recruiting me as a safety,” said Parker. “Coach Sanders said he liked how I performed and wanted to keep in touch me with more.”

What would an offer from Pitt mean to Parker?

“It would mean a lot and they would basically be my go to school.”
