**New Jersey 3-star wideout Marlyn Johnson (6-4, 190) is a player that Kevin Sherman and Pitt have been recruiting for a while but yesterday he decided to stay home. The 3-star player made a verbal commitment to Rutgers over other offers from Pitt, Boston College, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

**The Pitt basketball staff continues to heavily pursue a rising prospect. Yesterday, Pitt was at the game of 4-star 2019 shooting guard Lester Quinones from St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, New Jersey. Quinones (6-5, 200) is ranked by Rivals as one of 63rd best prospect in the country and holds offers from UConn, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Virginia, Seton Hall, St. John’s and West Virginia. Panther coaches have been many if not all of Quinones recent games.
