PITTSBURGH —  Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi spoke with reporters on Friday at the Dollar Energy Fund ice house in Market Square, as his team braved the cold to hand out free tickets to the Pitt basketball game against Syracuse next Saturday and raise money for the charity, which helps needy families heat their homes in the winter.

Narduzzi spoke for the first time about his hiring of new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple and wide receivers coach Chris Beatty, along with the NCAA transfer portal and Pitt’s players that have entered their names.

2,000 college players on the portal and only one is from Pitt. A backup punter. That says Pitt is doing a lot of things right. H2P.
