Woodland Hills TE Josh Rawlings Feeling Comfortable at Pitt

Woodland Hills tight end Josh Rawlings was one of the first local juniors to receive an offer from Pitt.

Since getting the offer from Pat Narduzzi, Rawlings has made a few visits to the Sourh Side for Pitt workouts, including the latest one on Tuesday.

It’s no secret that Rawlings is very comfortable with his hometown school and that familiarity could be a big factor if he decides to stay home.

Last night, PSN talked with Rawlings about his day with Pitt on Tuesday.

”When I go to Pitt practice, I try to envision myself being one of the players on the field, I get a feel for the atmosphere and see how I’d feel if I were to go to Pitt,” said Rawlings.

“Everything I saw there was so live. The practice had so much energy, everyone was so hyped up and everyone was just competing on every play. The offense and defensive line were competing so hard. I loved it.”

Since he’s been at the facility frequently, how do the coaches treat him? Are they recruiting him or almost act like he’s a part of the program?

“They treat me like I’m already part of the program,” Rawlings said. “Every time I go down there it’s just love from everyone.”

This tweet yesterday from Rawlings got Pitt fans excited. Is it a sign that he’s getting close to making a decision?

Rawlings said that it crossed his find. One thing he’s certain of is that he doesn’t want to make a decision late but instead, sees himself deciding possibly in June.

Before a decision is made, Rawlings plans on making a few more visits. This weekend, he’ll be in East Carolina and then next weekend, it’ll be either Temple or Penn State. Trips to Iowa State, Virginia and Minnesota could be in the near future.
