Delaware transfer Ithiel Horton isn’t wasting anytime deciding on his next basketball home.
Following visits to Pitt and Arkansas this week, Horton tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he’ll be making his decision this coming Tuesday, July 10th.
The talented freshman shooting guard visited Pitt on Sunday and seemed to build an instant relationship with Jeff Capel. Horton also likes the fact that after having to sit out the upcoming season, he’d have a chance to learn the Pitt system and then have a great opportunity to start with still three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Like with Pitt, Horton also enjoyed his visit to Arkansas and believes new head coach Eric Musselman is someone he could definitely see himself playing for.
Last season with Delaware, Horton averaged 13.2 points/game, shot 40.9% from 3-point range and was the leading freshman scorer in the CAA conference. He decided to transfer in order to play a higher level of competition night in and night out.
July 10th is a Wednesday. Is he deciding on Tuesday the 9th or Wednesday the 10th?
I wish he was 6’9″ instead of 6’3″. But in case the juco kid is a dud, we do need another 3 point shooter.
hopefully he commits to pitt,Mike as a die hard member i have to ask where is all the material we pay a fee for ? your sight has been really lacking ,im getting tired of paying for nothing
It’s the dead period! Things will definitely pick up.
i appreciate your response but i suggest maybe we could see some articles on the incoming freshman class that would be interesting since alot of us probably have forgotten about who some of them are, just a suggestion
