Teams Still Coming Hard After 2020 Pitt Commit Henry Parrish

Published

2020 Pitt commit Henry Parrish Jr. turned in an eye-opening game in his first game of the season for Columbus High School in Miami.

The superstar running back rushed for 324 yards on only 17 carries and scored 3 touchdowns as Columbus defeated rival Belen Jesuit High School, 41-7. Parrish was so dynamic that one of his touchdowns went national, appearing on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays and on FS1’s First Things First morning show.

In case you missed it here was the 27 yard touchdown run that has captured the football nation’s attention.

Parrish’s first rush of he season was an indicator of the type of game he was going to have as he ran for an 80 yard touchdown. Later on in the game, Parrish also took one in from 76 yards out.

Last night’s performance was huge for Parrish as it was a national breakout performance and has to get the coaches at Pitt excited thinking about adding that type of talent to their running back depth chart. The only that could be perceived as negative about it is that Parrish’s stock is going to continue to rise and major college programs will continue to pound on his door despite being committed to Pitt.

Prior to committing to the Panthers, Parrish held offers from big name programs like Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. Reportedly, South Carolina and Miami are really putting a push on Parrish in hopes of getting him to change his mind.

That being said, PSN messaged Parrish this afternoon who told us that he’s still really solid with Pitt.

Charlie Partridge and Pitt did a great job of landing a commitment from this Florida star. Now they’re going to need to do the same in order to get him to sign in December. If Parrish stays with Pitt, another great talent will be added to “Running Back U.”

I would be shocked if this guy sticks with Pitt. Just read that he is taking a visit to a SEC school. Hopefully he does, but I can’t see it happening.
