The Pitt football Class of 2020 just received some big news as two members of the class got elevated to 4-star status.

247 Sports announced some changes to their player ratings and moved both wide receiver Jaylon Barden and linebacker Bangally Kamara up to 4-star recruits.

With this news, Pitt’s Class of 2020 now has five 4-star recruits on it: Barden, Kamara, wide receiver Aydin Henningham, safety Jahvante Royal and wide receiver Jordan Addison.

Here’s part of what 247 talent evaluator Barton Simmons had to say about these two future Pitt Panthers.

Barden: “His film is outstanding as he shows start-stop ability, twitch and suddenness as a route-runner and the ability to create separation as well as natural, soft hands.”

Kamara: “This is a move based on senior film. Kamara popped up to us because of his speed in pads and the way he arrives at the football. He plays with good tackling angles, pursues with intensity and has heavy pads at the tackling point.”

Following this news, PSN reached out to both Barden and Kamara to get their reaction.

”I’m really excited about being a 4-star athlete, its nothing but a blessing. I was shocked when I got the news,” said Barden.

“Well, I’m truly happy that I got this 4th star and I would like to thank everyone who got me here and it’s a dream come true,” said Kamara.
