An official that worked the Colonial Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and COVID-19, the league announced on Thursday.

Keith Fogleman tested positive after working the first-round CAA game between UNC Wilmington and Drexel, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

The CAA tournament was played at St. Elizabeths East Entertainment and Sport Arena in Washington, D.C. from March 7-10 and won by Hofstra, the school’s first conference title.

According to the league’s press release, Fogleman did not exhibit symptoms of the virus until 72 hours after the game he worked, which is still well within the 11.5-day incubation time of the virus, according to a recent Johns Hopkins study.

Fogleman worked the first day of the tournament, according to Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.

The CAA shares officials with a large group of East Coast conferences, including the ACC, American, Atlantic 10 and Big East.

One of those officials that worked the March 8 second-round CAA game between Elon and William & Mary before officiating the Pitt-NC State ACC second-round game on Wednesday.
