Poll: How Many Teams Should Be in the College Football Playoff?

Published

on

For years, fan bases from across college football have complained that the NCAA should expand the college football playoffs because four teams weren’t enough and it wasn’t a fair and representative way to crown a national champion.

The recent talk among college football insiders is that with the financial strain that will occur from the COVID-19 pandemic, an expansion of the college football playoff system is inevitable and isn’t a matter of if but when it’ll happen.

With that thinking in mind, the bigger and more debatable question is how much should they expand and to many teams?

Assuming this takes place, our PSN Poll Question to you is how many teams would you include in a new College Football Playoff System?

I’ve always said there should be 6 total. The conference champion from each of the Power 5 conferences + a Non-Power 5 school or ND. Sure the SEC will cry, but if your team is not good enough to win your conference, it’s not good enough to win it all.

12 could be a acceptable number allowing conference runner up teams an opportunity.

I think 6, one for each power 5 champ and one wild card not in the power 5. Easiest way to do it. Unless your a psu fan and then the number is whatever you need to finally get you in!!! Lol

8 isn’t enough because there was always a deserving team cut. 16 or 12 with the top 4 getting a bye in the way to go
