Two of Pitt’s freshman have been recognized for their performances over the first half of the 2030 season.

Wide receiver Jordan Addison and defensive tackle  Calijah Kancey were named to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-American Watch List.

Addison has been Pitt’s biggest offensive weapon as he leads the Panthers in catches (38), receiving yards (444) and receiving touchdowns (3). Not only is Pitt’s top receiver, he tops the ACC and is 6th in the country in receptions.

This past Saturday against Miami, his 147 yards were the most by a Pitt freshman receiver since Tyler Boyd had 173 yards against Bowling Green in the Little Caesars Bowl back in 2013.

Kancey received the opportunity to break into Pitt’s rotation at defensive tackle and has taken full advantage of it.

The redshirt freshman from Miami has registered 15 tackles, six tackles for loss, sacks and 2 pass breakups.

Kancey has recorded these numbers while splitting time with Keyshon Camp, Tyler Bentley, Devin Danielson and David Green.

Dennis will be a star if they played him more. Chase Pine should be on the bench.
