Robert Morris has added another non-conference game to its men’s basketball schedule after its opening weekend of Horizon League games were called off due to COVID-19 issues, as the Colonials will visit Marshall on Sunday.
RMU was scheduled to face Cleveland State in the Colonials’ first Horizon League games this Friday and Saturday, but Cleveland State had to postpone the games.
Instead, the Colonials will play two non-conference games. They had already announced a home date against Bowling Green on Friday, and Thursday, Marshall announced that RMU will visit the Thundering Herd on Sunday.
The Herd and the Colonials will tip off at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Marshall’s Cam Henderson Center. The game will be streamed on Conference-USA TV.
Robert Morris had most of its non-conference schedule canceled after two COVID-19 shutdowns cost the Colonials all but one of their games. RMU has played just once, a 75-57 win over Point Park on Dec. 5.
Marshall (4-1) has won against Arkansas State, at Wright State, at College of Charleston, at home against Ohio and lost at Toledo.
The programs have met five times overall, with Marshall holding a 3-2 advantage. They’ve played just once in the last 20 years, a 73-69 home win for the Herd on Nov. 17, 2006.
