ACC Reschedules Previously Postponed Pitt-Florida State Game

Due to the continued problems caused by COVID-19, the Pitt men’s basketball program has had a number of games postponed with the hopes of making some of them up later in the season.

At least one of the postponed games will now be played as the ACC conference has added Pitt’s matchup with Florida State back on the schedule.

The ACC has announced that the game, previously scheduled for January 9, will now be play on Saturday, February 6. The Seminoles will take on the Panthers at The Pete with a tipoff of 2 PM.

This will be an opportunity for Jeff Capel’s team to notch a high-quality win as Leonard Hamilton’s team appears to be one of, if not the best team in the ACC. Florida State is currently 10-2 overall, 6-1 in the ACC and are ranked No. 22 in the KenPom ratings.

Pitt is 8-4 overall and 4-3 in conference but are on a two-game losing streak. The Panthers are next in action this Saturday when they host Notre Dame (5-9, 2-6).
