Pitt’s game scheduled for this Saturday against No. 20 Florida State has been postponed after a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent contact tracing in the Seminoles’ program, the ACC announced late Monday night.
Pitt and Florida State had been scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Petersen Events Center. It’s not clear if or when the the game will be made up.
This is the second time the game Seminoles’ trip to Pittsburgh has been postponed. The teams were originally scheduled to play Jan. 9, but that was also called off due to a positive COVID-19 test.
In addition to the Florida State game, Pitt has games at Duke (from Dec. 29) and at Georgia Tech (from Jan. 13) that have not yet been rescheduled.
In addition to the open weekend this weekend, Pitt also does not have a game scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 13-14. The Panthers will host No. 16 Virginia Tech on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and visit Louisville on Feb. 10.
