Die-Hards: Nate Santos’ Coach on the Pitt Commit’s Game, Leadership Skills

Wednesday night, Pitt basketball fans breathed a huge sigh of relief as Nate Santos became the first prospect to commit to the Panthers in the class of 2021. Santos, a three-star, 6-foot-7 forward, is a native of Geneva, Illinois, but played his basketball for The Loomis Chaffee School, a boarding school of about 700 students in Connecticut.

Santos played there for three years and was led by head coach Rock Battistoni, a former George Washington standout and now NEPSAC Coach of the Year. Shortly after Santos’ commitment, Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Coach Battistoni and broke down everything about Nate Santos the kid, and Nate Santos the hooper.
