On Wednesday morning, Obama Academy graduate and St. Francis junior defensive back Dorian Jackson announced that he is transferring to Western Michigan.

In 2019, the Pittsburgh native was named to the NEC All-Conference First Team and was an honorable mention All-American. He recorded 39 tackles and 16 pass breakups, which is a single-season St. Francis record. The Red Flash opted out of the 2020-21 season that took place this spring.

Jackson will join four WPIAL/Pittsburgh City League alumni on the Broncos: senior cornerback Therran Coleman (Brashear), senior safety Bricen Garner (Central Catholic), sophomore wide receiver Skyy Moore (Shady Side), and freshman quarterback Jack Salopek (Norwin).

Jackson, Coleman, who transferred to WMU from Pitt in 2020, and the Broncos will take on Pitt at Heinz Field on Sept. 18.
