With the start of the high school football season means different types of rankings will start appearing from various media outlets throughout the country.

On Tuesday, @wpialsportsnews released their Top 50 players in the WPIAL on Pittsburgh Sports Now. In the near future, they will also list their top players in the Classes of 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Rivals.com has just released their Top 30 prospects from every state, which always becomes a point of conversation. It’s also interesting to see which colleges the top players from each state end up committing to. When looking at Pennsylvania, the focus becomes how many top players are Pat Narduzzi and James Franklin able to get commitments from and how many decide to leave the state?

Here’s where things currently stand with Rivals Top 30 players from Pennsylvania.

Been a PITT fan for 60 years, but if you can’t recruit in your home state you can’t recruit. Local talent in the past made them a power back in the DAY! You definitely have to recruit out of state (mostly down south) but if you can’t recruit in state you will always be mediocre at best.SAD to see we have not done well for 2022

Getting beat out by Rutgers and South Carolina? I know that some these players might not meet Pitt’s needs but PSU is running roughshod over the Panthers with this particular class. Surely Pitt can pull better talent than this.

I think you are being too tough on Narduzzi. He just needs more time. Maybe in 5 more years he may actually be able to recruit a top 10 Pa. recruit!!. He does get points for offering early. He just can’t seem to close. I guess are not impressed with all those empty yellow seats.
