Pitt PG Femi Odukale Out Vs. Virginia With Ankle Injury

Published

on

CHARLOTTESVILLE — Ahead of Friday night’s contest against the Virginia Cavaliers, Pitt announced that point guard Femi Odukale would be out for the game due to an ankle injury.

Odukale, the teams second-leading scorer on the year, is averaging 12.1 points, 3.7 assists, and four rebounds per game this season. For a team already lacking depth at the guard position, losing Odukale for the ACC opener is another significant blow.

Without Odukale, the Panthers will be limited to Jamarius Burton, Nate Santos, and walk-on Onye Ezeakudo at the guard spots on Friday.

UPDATE  (7:45) — Odukale is on the court with the team, but dressed in street clothes. He is not wearing a boot, using crutches, or anything of that sort as of 7:45 p.m.

Capel has shown a terrible job of recruiting, an inability to develop and retain individuals, along with terrible coaching. Start searching for a new coach and hit the reboot.
