Pitt Panther Talk: Reaction To USC QB Kedon Slovis Coming To Pitt

Published

on

The Pitt Panther football program keeps the momentum and positive vibe surrounding their program going tonight as they beat out a number of high-profile programs, namely Notre Dame, to land much sought after USC transfer quarterback Kedon Slovis. With this move, the Panthers will most likely enter the 2022 season as the preseason favorites in the ACC Coastal Division. PSN’s Alan Saunders and Mike Vukovcan are here to talk about the impact of Pitt landing this talented quarterback.

Both Yellen and Beville were rated higher than Slovis in the same recruiting class. Does bringing Slovis in show a lack of confidence in the current QBs on the roster? It would be a shame to lose a talented QB who is already on the roster to the transfer portal. I hope it is an actual QB competition and not just handed to Slovis. It would be great if Patti or Beville who have remained committed to Pitt right out of High School won the starting job.

The Slovis kid has thrown for over 7,500 yards in his career.
Patti will have a chance to show himself in the bowl game.

This kid has not thrown a pass, and you have already anointed him. Remember the last 2 QB transfers you were gushing about. This shows little faith in the guys who have waited their turn.

Yes, at this point I don’t want to lose Patti or Beville. They both looked good when they get on the field. I also read something saying, Slovis, may not have much running game.

He does have game experience from earlier years, but so did Brown and Yellen. Still great to have another QB with a couple of yrs. of eligibility.
