Pitt Forward Tracey Hueston Transfers to Charlotte

Pitt sophomore forward Tracey Hueston will transfer to Charlotte, she announced via Instagram on Sunday.

Hueston saw few minutes off the bench for the Panthers in her two seasons with the team, averaging 6.8 minutes in 37 games. She also averaged 1.8 points per game and shot 40.3 percent from the field.

The game in which she was most effective was against Virginia, where she played a career high 17 minutes and scored a career-high eight points in the loss.

Hueston is the third transfer from Pitt this offseason. Senior guard Jayla Everett was dismissed from the team in February and joined St. John’s recently, while center Rita Igbokwe announced her decision to transfer last month.

With Hueston’s departure, the forward depth for the Panthers has junior Amber Brown and sophomore Liatu King starting. Both players can play as a small forward or a power forward next season. Sophomore Cynthia Ezezja can play the center position, especially with Igbowke leaving and no one else on the team able to fill that role currently.
