Keith Dambrot has added more experienced talent to his 2022-23 backcourt.

Following an official visit over the weekend, Duquesne has received a commitment from Florida International transfer guard Tevin Brewer.

Brewer is coming off an outstanding season in which he averaged 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. From the field, Brewer shot 42.6% and 39.8% from 3- point range.

Per the website Synergy Basketball, Brewer was the top-rated pick and roll passer in the country, as he created 12.1 points per game.

Not only is Brewer talented on the court but he’s been described as a high character teammate , a team first player and a leader.

With his move to Pittsburgh, Brewer will be reunited with his long time best friend, current Pittsburgh Steeler defensive back Tre Norwood.

Despite losing Primo Spears and Jackie Johnson, who both showed promise, Dambrot has been able to add Brewer and former VCU guard Tre Clark, two players with have proven they can produce.

Don’t be surprised if Duquesne adds even more talent to their backcourt in the very near future.
