Duquesne Hoops to Play Against Kentucky in MTE

Next season, Keith Dambrot’s Duquesne Dukes will travel down to Rupp Arena to take on Moon native John Calipari and his Kentucky Wildcats, a source told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

The matchup will be a part of a multi-team event hosted by the Wildcats.

The Dukes bring back Kevin Easley and Tre Williams next season to lead the way. This offseason, Dambrot and co. have added newcomers Dae Dae Grant, Quincy McGriff, Halil Barre, David Dixon, Matus Hronsky, Tevin Brewer, Devin Carney, Kareem Rozier, and Tre Clark to bolster their depth.

Kentucky returns last year’s Wooden Award winner Oscar Tshiebwe, as well as Sahvir Wheeler, Jacob Toppin, and more. The ‘Cats have also brought in former Illinois State guard Antonio Reeves from the transfer portal, in addition to numerous top-ten high school recruits.

Antonio Reeves Commits to Kentucky

Kentucky’s most recent commitment came from Pittsburgh (Quaker Valley) product Adou Thiero, who took an official visit to Duquesne and held an offer from the Dukes prior to committing to Calipari’s program.
