Last weekend, Pitt received commitments from two defensive backs from Georgia and are hoping to add another one on Saturday, as 2023 four-star cornerback Kaleb Cost from Sandy Creek High School in Fayetteville, Georgia will announce his college tomorrow and has listed Pitt as a finalist.
Cost (6-foot, 180 pounds) will be choosing Saturday night between Pitt, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Central Florida and Georgia Tech. Other schools that extended offers to Cost were Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Tennessee, Boston College, Missouri, Kansas and Memphis.

Rivals national recruiting analyst Jed May spoke with Cost who had this to say about what has impressed him about Pitt:
“The thing about Pittsburgh is it’s far, but Coach Narduzzi, Coach Collins and Coach Sanders, ever since they’ve been recruiting me, they’ve been interested in everything I was doing. They’re doing a lot down there at Pittsburgh with recruiting and prestige and everything. Recently when I took a visit down there, an unofficial, they had me actually walk through the plays and teaching me a lot on a visit. I have a mind of what they’re doing. I like their scheme; I like who they do things. Coach Narduzzi is also all about family. I like that as well.”
Cost is a tremendous athlete and is also a standout baseball player, as he was recently named an 1st Team All State Selection. In fact, when visiting Pitt back in April, Cost also visited with Mike Bell and the Pitt baseball program.
Rivals projects North Carolina as the front runner for Cost. The official announcement will be made Saturday evening.
