Alier Maluk

On Tuesday, while out on the road watching recruits, the Pitt staff made sure to stop in and check out one of the top local recruits, five-star prospect Alier Maluk.

Maluk’s coach told PSN that Pitt was in attendance to watch Maluk once again. In the past, head coach Jeff Capel has watched Maluk, as well as other assistants in the past.

On Friday, the West Virginia staff will be in to take a look at Maluk as well.

Maluk is a 6-foot-10 forward with tremendous touch, athleticism, and shot-blocking skills. The young forward was recently ranked as the No. 12 player in the nation by Rivals, and holds offers from schools such as Pitt, Auburn, LSU, NC State, Seton Hall, West Virginia, and more.

Maluk is one of five prospects in the 2025 class with a Pitt offer: Maluk, Meleek Thomas, Jayden Quaintance, Darryn Peterson, and RJ Greer.
