The end of the season means a very busy time of the year for the Pitt football program. On this episode of the Pitt Stop, Mike Asti and Mike Vukovcan grade Pitt’s 2022 season and then discuss the recent de-commits and transfers that are causing some Panther fans to freak out.
What do people need to realize about the transfer portal era? What work is Pitt doing to replace players lost? Mike and Mike also then talk Jeff Capel and the basketball team turning thins around and Duquesne hoops being very relevant this season.

i agree with Mike V’s points on the O. Cignetti may have been the smart one by running an offensive gameplan that his talent could execute, not one that the fans wanted to be executed. also puzzled by Gavin’s lack of involvement in passing game. something had to be going on there.
Non-sense. Putting 11 players in a phone booth is all Cignetti. It works and it doesn’t.
If anything cut-out all of the pre-snap eye candy motion. I rarely saw any Defense adjust.
Milking the Clock has not had a positive impact on the Defense, the Defensive Scoring Per Game is same as last year. Increase the Play Rate on Offense and Score more instead of Playing circumstantial Chess.

I do not like the transfer portal as we head towards semi pro football and the demise of fair play.
