GREENSBORO, N.C. – Federiko Federiko is not in the starting lineup for Pitt against Iowa State but is expected to be available off the bench, the Panthers announced. He will be in uniform and participate in warmups. Guillermo Diaz Graham will start in place of Federiko, who did not suit up in the Panthers’ First Four win Tuesday.

It is not yet known if he is officially out for the game or coming off the bench.

Federiko was not a full participant in practice Thursday due to a knee injury. Jeff Capel described his status as day-to-day leading up to the game. The sophomore center started 27 of 33 games for Pitt this season, averaging 7 points, 5.6 rebounds, in 24.4 minutes. He’s also totaled 57 blocks and 14 steals.

Diaz Graham played 37 minutes in the one-point win over Mississippi State and recorded a key block in the final seconds to help the Panthers hold on and move on to the Round of 64.
