It’s never too early to predict the next NCAA Tournament field.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi recently released an early offseason edition of his bracketology, and included the Duquesne Dukes in the field.

Lunardi has Keith Dambrot’s Dukes as an 11-seed as an automatic qualifier (winning the Atlantic 10). He has them potentially facing off against Wisconsin in Omaha in the West Region.

Duquesne returns Dae Dae Grant, Jimmy Clark, and other key pieces from last year’s 20-win team. The Dukes have also brought in a loaded transfer class of four forwards.

Duquesne has added Dusan Mahorcic (NC State), Andrei Savrasov (Georgia Southern), Hassan Drame (La Salle), and Fousseyni Drame (La Salle) from the transfer portal so far this offseason.

Former Dukes Kevin Easley (Coastal Carolina), Devin Carney (Denver), Maceo Austin (Slippery Rock), Quincy McGriff (UTSA), and Jaylen Cole-Williams (Uncommitted) all entered the portal this offseason from the program.

Duquesne has not made the NCAA Tournament since 1977, and has only qualified for the Big Dance five times in its history. In the 1939-40 and 1951-52 seasons, the Dukes went all the way to the Final Four, per Sports Reference.
