The Broncos are members of the West Coast Conference and are coached by Penn Hills native Herb Sendek. Last season, Santa Clara had an overall record of 23-10, 11-5 in conference play and recorded wins over DePaul, Iona, New Mexico State, Boise State, California and BYU (twice).

Earlier, it was announced that Duquesne would take part in the Nebraska MET, hosted by the Cornhuskers. Aside from a game against Nebraska, the Dukes will also play Rider and Stony Brook.

Duquesne finished last season 20-8 and 10-8 in the Atlantic-10 Conference. With many key players returning, including Dae Dae Grant and Jimmy Clark, Keith Dambrot’s team should be a contender this season in the A-10.
