New Jersey native Willy Love is ready to make his college decision, and Pitt is a contender for him.
Love announced today that he will commit to a school this Thursday, July 6 and tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that his four finalists are Pitt, Syracuse, Rutgers and Maryland.

Love (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) is from East Side High School in Camden, N.J. and is a four-star rated player, according to Rivals. Rivals rates Love as the No. 5 overall prospect in New Jersey for 2024 while 247Sports lists him at No 6.
Aside from the four schools listed above, Love received offers from West Virginia, Boston College, Cincinnati, Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State and Texas A&M.
Love has listed Pitt as a finalist, and he was at Pitt a couple of weeks ago for a prospects camp, keep in mind that the only official visit that he made was to Rutgers.
247Sports is forecasting him to select Rutgers while Rivals has it as a split between Rutgers and Syracuse.
Landing a talent like Willy Love, who’s projected to play linebacker, would be big for Pitt but the likelihood of that happening isn’t high.
