Update (4:15 p.m.)-
Deer Lakes Class of 2024 quarterback Derek Burk received his first Division I offer on Saturday in Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He also holds two Division II offers from Edinboro and Notre Dame college.
Burk started all 11 games for Deer Lakes last season, completing 98 of his 175 passes for 1,388 yards and nine touchdowns. He also demonstrated his ability in the ground game, as ran for 378 yards and six touchdowns in 2022.
Update (1:45 p.m.)-
Peters Township Class of 2024 combo guard Gemma Walker received her first Division I offer from St. Francis on Friday. Walker stands at 5-foot-10 and is great at using her size to drive to the basket and take on taller players in the paint. She is a fantastic 3-point shooter and is able to distribute the ball to her teammates when needed.
Update (1:30 p.m.)-
North Allegheny Class of 2024 tight end/edge rusher Daniel Sellers committed to Richmond on Saturday. He held offers from other Ivy League schools in Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn and Yale as well as other FCS schools like Duquesne, Fordham, Holy Cross and Maine. He’ll look to close out his senior season in the fall with a WPIAL and a PIAA title.
