FINLEYVILLE, Pa. – On Friday night, four-star forward Alier Maluk committed to Florida State over Pitt, LSU, Ohio State, and Oregon in front of friends and family back home in Pennsylvania.
Maluk committed to the Seminoles just weeks after taking an official visit there and checking out the ACC program.
Maluk, who played two years of high-school ball for Pittsburgh Imani Christian (WPIAL 1a), had been around the Pitt program for years since receiving an offer from Pitt early on when he was a freshman. Last season, he took in several Pitt home games, took another unofficial visit, and grew closer to the team and the coaching staff. However, ultimately, he decided to commit to Leonard Hamilton’s Seminoles.
He is ranked as the No. 41 player in the country according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, and is a four-star prospect. Just days after announcing his top five, Maluk is now off the table in the 2025 class and will play the rest of his high-school career as a committed athlete.
Just as I predicted. Another whiff
