WASHINGTON — On Thursday, No. 4-seed Pitt took down fifth-seeded Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals behind a monstrous performance from the hometown kid, Ishmael Leggett.
Leggett led the Panthers with 30 points, hitting 11 of his 18 field-goal attempts and two of his six three-point tries in the victory. Leggett grabbed eight rebounds, drew six fouls, and had five steals in the win. Blake Hinson hit four of his six three-point attempts in the win, adding on 20 points for the Panthers.
As a team, Pitt hit 26 of its 54 field-goal attempts and nine of its 23 three-point tries in the win. With the win, Pitt advanced to 22-10 overall and 13-8 in ACC play on the year, finishing the season 2-1 against Wake Forest.
