Jones Talks About Pitt Visit

Pitt had two talented defensive ends make official visits this weekend: Zack Gilbert and Patrick Jones.

Last night, Gilbert told me that he rated his visit as a “10”.  How about Jones?

Tonight, I was able to reach out to Jones to get his thoughts on Pittsburgh.

“Well, I pulled up to the school at 4 in the morning and then slept in till 10. After that, I went on a campus tour and then went to the stadium and talked to Coach Narduzzi”, said Jones.

“I like the fact that they shared the same facilities as the Steelers and have NFL connections.”  Jones told me that his mother and father made the trip with him.

“I liked the Pitt coaches a lot because they all seem down to earth, honest, reliable people”, said Jones.

So what about the visit as a whole, did Pitt help itself with Jones?

“I really enjoyed the trip and had lots of fun and Yes, Pitt helped itself with the visit.

This coming weekend, Jones will take his official visit to NC State.  Following that trip, he’ll then pick between Pitt, Virginia Tech and NC State.

Jones will then make his college decision on December 2nd.
