Tuesday Pitt Recruiting Notes

Could a current Pitt commit flip on his decision to go to Pitt?

Yesterday, Maurice Ffrench (New Brunswick, New Jersey) tweeted that he received an offer from hometown school Rutgers.

Immediately, speculation started that Ffrench would seriously consider the offer.

I contacted him and asked about that and would he consider making a visit or is he 100% Pitt?

Ffrench responded by messaging me, “H2P”.

***2017 4-star DT Fred Hansard (Princeton, New Jersey) messaged me saying that Pitt TE coach Tim Salem stopped by the high school.  Because he’s only a junior, coaches aren’t permitted to speak with him. Hansard is the #1 rated prospect in New Jersey and a priority recruit for Pitt.

***Something to keep your eye on. K’Von Wallace (Highland Springs, Virginia) is a CB/WR that’s committed to Cincinnati. However, Wallace tells me that Pitt LB coach Rob Harley recently paid him a visit.  Wallace (6-0, 180) says that Pitt hasn’t offered him but are watching his film.  Wallace had a great senior season recording 8 interceptions, making over 50 tackles and scoring 13 touchdowns on offense. Wallace tells me that he would definitely give Pitt “serious” consideration if offered and that “he would love to make a visit to Pitt.”   Remember that name.

***Had some communication with Woodland Hills RB Miles Sanders. I want to say that I have big time respect for the kid for the way he’s handling the attention he’s receiving.  It can’t be easy for a 17 year old kid to constantly have your name in the news and to have so many people pulling at him.

Unlike some, Sanders has handled this like a pro and hasn’t done or said anything foolish.   Big props to him for that. I asked him about about how he’s able to deal with the attention and scrutiny. “I get asked about Pitt and Penn State every single day”? Said Sanders. “But it’s not hard to handle because I already know what school I’m going to.”

***Check back later for updates because I’ll add things throughout the day***
