***Woodland Hills RB Jo-El Shaw’s on-again, off-again relationship with Pitt looks to be on-again.  The talented back told me this morning that he’s going to make an official visit to Pitt the weekend of the 29th.  Shaw is visiting Syracuse this weekend.

***I’m happy to announce that Central Catholic’s Damar Hamlin has decided to make his college decision live on KDKA TV.  The 4-star cornerback will be making his decision on Monday February 1st.  Hamlin will be deciding between Pitt, Penn State and Ohio State.

UPDATE (9:20 AM)-

**Will it be Pitt or Illinois for linebacker Elias Reynolds? I don’t know the answer to that but I do know when he’s making the decision? Reynolds just told me that he’ll make his announcement tomorrow.  Reynolds is a player that Pitt would like to land.

UPDATE (9:38 AM)

**Pitt coaches are already out and about. Just heard from Clearfield 2017 athlete Ryan Lezzer and he told me that Pitt was at his school. Both Josh Conklin and Kevin Sherman were in the building. Lezzer told me that he plans on talking more with Sherman and that he will attend Pitt’s Junior Day in February.

UPDATE (9:50 AM)

**Had a chance to contact New Jersey 2016 CB Tyrone Hill and asked hi what’s going on with him and Pitt. Hill made his official visit to Pitt last weekend and some thought a commitment would happen.

“I didn’t commit because I want to explore a little bit more”, said Hill. “I loved the visit and everything about Pitt.”

Hill did tell me that he doesn’t have any visits planned the next 2 weekends.

My take on the situation is that Hill is a victim of Pitt being in a scholarship crunch.  I believe that Hill wants to commit and that Pitt wants to have him but they have to wait to see what develops over the next week or so.  Maybe the situation with Henry Miller will open up a spot in the secondary for Hill? Keep an eye on Tyrone Hill.

UPDATE (12:56 PM)-
**Apollo Ridge 2017 athlete Duane Brown let me know that “Pitt came in today again.”  This record setting player from Apollo Ridge is someone that I expect to start getting a lot of interest from high D-1 schools.

Pitt d-line coach Thomas Sims made the trip to Apollo Ridge today. Brown told me that he plans to start making more visits to Oakland and will attend Pitt’s Junior Day.

UPDATE (2:03 PM)-

4 local players on their official visits to Penn State- Damar Hamlin, Miles Sanders, Khaleke Hudson and Aaron Mathews.

UPDATE (2:11 PM)-

**Penn Hills 2017 WR/LB Rick Squires tweeted out that Iowa State and Michigan stopped by the school today. Yesterday it was Indiana and Miami of Ohio. And earlier in the week it was Pitt.  Another solid 2017 WPIAL prospect.

UPDATE (6:57 PM)-

**Another 2017 scholarship issued today by Pitt.  This one goes to outside linebacker James Houston (6-1, 220) from Plantation, Florida.  Houston is currently a 3-star recruit and holds offers from Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

UPDATE (8:23 PM)-
**New York LB Elias Reynolds announced on Twitter that his college decision tomorrow will come at 7 PM.  Will Pitt be it? I think so.

UPDATE (9:08 PM)-
**The Pitt football program will have their Junior Day on February 6th and tonight an elite prospect announced he’s going to attend. 4-star DT Fred Hansard says that he’ll be in Pittsburgh that weekend to attend.
