Good Thursday morning, it’s time to hit the recruiting trail.

**Pitt will be checking out a former Maryland commit today.  Tight end coach Tim Salem will be meeting today  with OT Michael Clark (Downington, PA).  Clark is a de-committed from Maryland a few weeks ago and is hoping to get an offer from Pitt.  We introduced you to Clark a few weeks ago on Pittsburgh Sports Now.

UPDATE (8:30 AM)-

**Virginia WR K’Von Wallace is one of the fastest rising prospects on the East coast.  It’s just a coincidence, but since receiving an offer from Pitt two weeks ago, the offers for him have poured in.   In the last week, Wallace has received offers from Virginia Tech, Arizona and Maryland.

Wallace is currently committed to Cincinnati but is actively looking at other schools.  He plans on making a mid-week visit to Arizona next week plus will make trips to Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

This afternoon, Pitt WR coach Kevin Sherman will visit with Wallace  in Highland Springs, Virginia.  I plan on talking with Wallace after the visit.

UPDATE (11:21 AM)-

**Beaver Falls 2017 4-star DE Donovan Jeter picked up an offer today from Miami, Fla.  The offer is #20 for the Beaver Falls star.

UPDATE (1:14 PM)-

**Clairton 2017 5-star CB Lamont Wade announced on Twitter that both Ohio State and Penn State stopped by today.  Toledo and Tennessee stopped by the other day.

UPDATE (2:16 PM)-

**Talked to Lakeland (Fla) 2017 OLB A.J. DeShazor and he told me that Pitt LB Rob Harley has been in touch and would like him to make a trip to Pittsburgh.  DeShazor, who already has an offer from Pitt, told me he’s “keeping his options open right now” but “definitely considering Pitt.”

UPDATE (2:26 PM)-

**Potential good news for Pitt concerning 4-star DT Amir Watts.  The Chicago DT decided today to cancel his official visit next weekend to Iowa State. If he doesn’t make another visit next weekend, his last official visit will be this weekend at Pitt.

I spoke to someone that’s familiar with the situation and here’s what he told me about Watts.

“Right now it’s Indiana, Minnesota and Pitt. Penn State still a maybe. He may also receive new offers soon that could change things. I think, coming out of his official last weekend, Indiana may have stolen the lead for the moment. ”

UPDATE (4:51 PM)-

**Just heard back from Virginia WR K’Von Wallace and he shared some news with me. Wallace met with Pitt WR coach Kevin Sherman this afternoon.  Following his visit, Wallace has come up with a final 3 teams. He told me that (In No Order): Pitt, Maryland and Cincinnati.   I was a bit surprised that the hometown team (Va Tech) didn’t make the cut.

UPDATE (7:57 PM)-

**I just heard from the recruit that most Pitt fans want to know about: Henry Miller.  He met today with both Josh Conklin and Renaldo Hill.

“It was cool. I met longer with Coach Hill but they’re both cool guys”, said Miller.  “They both were just reminding me to think about why I committed to Pitt. They told me the risk of taking my visits and I completely understood.”

Miller told me that he’s noticed all the reaction on Twitter from Pitt fans asking him to please keep his commitment to Pitt.

“Yeah, it’s getting all crazy LOL”, said Miller.

As of today, Miller hasn’t heard anything new from Ohio State and hasn’t received an offer from them.

However, Miami has offered Miller and he told me that he  plans on making an official visit to Miami .

That’s not something Pitt wanted to hear and I’m not sure what that means for his future with Pitt.

UPDATE (8:51 PM)-

**Here are a couple quick notes before I get back on the phone to find out more recruiting information.

Chicago 4-star DT Amir Watts picked up an offer from Missouri tonight. Watts will be in Pittsburgh tomorrow for his official visit .

**2017 4-star DT Fred Hansard picked up an offer tonight from Florida State.  Pat Narduzzi visited Hansard’s high school yesterday.  Pitt will be in a battle to land him.

UPDATE (9:03 PM)-

**4-star WR Darnell Salomon just told me that instead of visiting Pitt next Tuesday, he now plans on making an official visit on the 29th.  Salomon will be in Temple this weekend.

The weekend of the 29th will be enormous for Pitt: Salomon, Damar Hamlin, Khaleke Hudson and K’Von Wallace.

**Pitt sent 3 coaches to Central Catholic today.  I’m sure they were there for Damar Hamlin, Rashad Wheeler,  Bricen Garner, David Adams, CJ Thorpe.

UPDATE (9:33 PM)-

Pitt line coach John Peterson just finished up a visit in Akron, Ohio with Pitt commit DT Bryce Hargrove.

**Congrats to South Fayette RB Hunter Hayes who made a verbal commitment tonight to Penn.

**Here’s some information I was just told concerning Henry Miller and the ramifications of him visiting Miami.  According to a source, Pitt is still committed to Miller. However, Miller opens himself up to losing a spot if there is another need Pitt needs to fill.

UPDATE (10:29)-

**Piece of good news here for Pitt.  4-star WR Darnell Salomon just told me that he’s eliminated Washington State and will now decide between Pitt and Temple. Salomon will visit Temple this weekend and Pitt next weekend.

UPDATE (10:42 PM)-

**Pat Narduzzi made an interesting visit today on the other side of the state. The Pitt boss was in Philadelphia to see Penn State commit Skaka Toney.  Despite being a solid Penn State commit, the Pitt coaches have continued to recruit this prospect.   Interesting that after Narduzzi talked with Toney, James Franklin was in Philadelphia to see Toney himself.  Recruiting, you have to love it.
