Anytime a school can get a top recruit to make a visit on campus, it’s a positive.  That’s what happened today for Pitt.

Jaylen Kelly-Powell an elite safety from Detroit, Michigan visited Pittsburgh today along with his teammates from Cass Tech High School.

Following his visit to Pitt, I had a chance to get Jaylen Kelly-Powell’s reaction to the visit.

“Today’s visit went great. I got a chance to see the new locker room, which was very impressive. I mostly spent time with my big cousin Avonte Maddox and Coach Hill.  We talked about coverages and many techniques that I could use in my games”, said Kelly-Powell.

“I couldn’t get a chance to see the campus, but next time I would get a chance to.  Other than the facilities, I really like the coaches they have coaching the players. They really know what they’re talking about.”

“I got a little bit of my questions answered by Avonte about school and practice schedule. He mostly said you get to make your own schedule and you get a lot of help with classes. It really shows because he has a 3.8 GPA.
