Pitt Script Helmet #2

Pitt is hosting a few prospects today, we’ll do our best to keep you updated with interviews with each of the recruits.

**As we first told you about last week, Georgia wide receiver Connor Heyward is visiting Pitt today.  Here’s the story we did on Heyward.

**As Adam Friedman from Rivals.com reported this morning, 4-star linebacker Nathan Proctor from Henry Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland is also visiting Pitt. In fact, I’ve confirmed that Proctor is currently touring the Pitt facilities with two of his teammates, 2017 LB Malik Burns and 2018 C/DT Elijah Lane.

Proctor (6-3, 217) is a huge talent that would be a huge addition to Pitt’s young, athletic stable of linebackers.  Proctor currently holds offers from Florida, Georgia, Miami, Mississippi, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Maryland and Virginia Tech.

I will have an interview with Proctor following his visit with the Panthers.

UPDATE (10:15 AM)-

**A source tells me that 2017 QB Kenny Pickett (Oakhurst, New Jersey) could be closing in on a decision.   Source tells me that Pickett wants to “wrap things up” and although no definite date has been decided on, a decision could come by the end of next week and possibly even this week. Pickett will be deciding between Pitt and Boston College.

UPDATE (10:35 AM)-

**Bethlehem (PA) 2017 WR Darian Street is close to making a decision. Street just told me that he plans on making his college decision on June 18.  His finalists are Pitt, UConn and Kent State and he’ll be visiting UConn this coming Friday.

UPDATE (11:23 AM)-

**Have just been told that QB Kenny Pickett will be making a return visit to Pittsburgh. In fact, the source tells me that Pickett will be back in town this weekend.

“Pitt is Pickett’s leader and there’s a chance he makes a decision this weekend.” This source went on to tell me that “Pickett wants to make a decision shortly so he can start help building the recruiting class.”

UPDATE (12:40 PM)-

**Georgia WR Connor Heyward messaged me to say that his visit to Pitt will be tomorrow not today.

UPDATE (2:05 PM)-

**Maryland 4-star linebacker Nathan Proctor has been in town since this morning visiting Pitt.   Proctor is on the trip with his head coach and 2 of his teammates, Malik Burns and Elijah Lane.   I’ll have a story with these guys at the end of their visit.

UPDATE (2:47 PM)-

**This coming Sunday, Pitt will be getting another participant in their first football camp of the summer.

Outside linebacker Calvin Twyman from Columbus, Ohio says he’s making the 3-hour drive to Pittsburgh. Twyman doesn’t have an offer from Pitt but is hopeful one could come if he’s able to make an impression.  I spoke to him briefly about this upcoming weekend.

“My decision for wanting to attend Pitt this weekend is to show my talent and hopefully get the coaches attention in order to get an offer”, said Twyman.

“My overall interest in Pitt is very high. It’s one of my dream colleges that I would like to attend. I really love the university and a offer from Pitt would be exciting. I think if I do a great job at the camp on Sunday they will show interest and offer me”, said Twyman.
