UPDATE  (8:15 PM)-

**It’s going to be a battle between Pitt and Virginia Tech for 4-star DE Tyjuan Garbutt. Shortly after Coach Sherman and Coach Sims left, coaches from Virginia Tech arrived.

UPDATE (6:28 PM)-

**This morning, I hinted that Pitt had a big in home visit tonight, well it was with this guy.

UPDATE (4:36 PM)-
**After meeting with Pitt last night, Clairton’s Lamont Wade will have visits tonight from coaches at West Virginia and UCLA.  Remember, this Sunday contact period with recruits ends so this Saturday is the last day for coaches to personally meet with Lamont and his family.

UPDATE (3:39 PM)-
**A member of the Pitt staff will have a big in home visit tonight. OL Coach John Peterson will be at the home of 4-star Virginia OT Mekhi Becton. Peterson was in Virginia last week with Becton also. I’m told that there’s a very good chance of Becton making an official visit to Pitt.

**Got word that a Pitt coach will meet today with New Jersey athlete Bryce Watts, who’s currently committed to Rutgers. Watts is 247 Sports 3-star recruit with offers from Pitt, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Syracuse and Kansas. Watts committed to Rutgers back on March 27th. Watts is from Toms River, New Jersey.

**Over the weekend, we told you that Pitt offered Florida cornerback and current Louisville commit Anthony Johnson. Last night, the Cardinals staff stopped by to see Johnson.

UPDATE (12:05 AM)-
**Got word late last night that Pitt would be meeting with one of their bigger targets today. Later this afternoon and after the Pitt assistant leaves the building, I’ll let you know who it is.

**A name to keep your eye on and that’s Willie Hampton. The native of West Palm Beach, Florida is a 247 Sport 3-star outside linebacker, who’s currently committed to Nebraska. However, I’ve confirmed that over the last week, Pitt coaches have been at his practice. No offer has been made but that could change.

**Last week, we reported that Coach Powell visited Beaver star athlete Darius Wise. No offer has been made yet but I talked with Wise last night and he’s optimistic that an offer will be coming soon from Pitt.

**Things have cooled down a bit with Pitt and 4-star WR Carmoni Green. Last week it seemed certain that he’d make an official visit to Pitt now it’s not so certain. Green, who made an official visit to North Carolina over the weekend, hasn’t been contacted yet by Pitt after visiting.

**Per Matt Fortuna, Notre Dame transfer QB Malik Zaire plans on visiting Wisconsin and North Carolina this week. No word if he’ll visit Pitt.
