Could Pitt be adding another running back to their 2017 Recruiting Class?

Ohio running back Todd Sibley is one of the jewels of Pat Narduzzi’s current class but you can never have too many backs and you can pass up a chance to add quality talent.

That will explain why Pitt extended an offer last night to Kyshaun Bryan (5-10, 203) from St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida). Bryan is teammates with current Pitt commitment linebacker Albert Tucker. By the way, Bryan is currently committed to South Carolina.

Bryan told Pittsburgh Sports Now that the Pitt coaching staff reached out to him a couple days ago with the help of a current Pitt recruit.

“Dontavius Butler is the one that recommended me to the coaches. Then Coach Salem hit me up real quick and we talked and they’re real excited about me,” said Bryan.

“I’m excited about Pitt and I’m happy that they’re interested in me and I can’t wait to get up there and meet the coaches. I’ve heard it’s a great place and I’m excited to meet them.”

Prior to the offer from Pitt, Bryan was scheduled yo make official visits to Oregon State (January 20) and Iowa (January 27). Bryan has changed things and will now visit Pitt this weekend.

“I’m a versatile back, I can carry it out of the backfield, I can run downhill if needed and I feel like I’m that type of back that can do it all. When it’s crunch time, I feel like I’m the man that can get the ball in his hands,” said Bryan.

“My parents and I have been talking about it, plus my coaches and we’re trying to figure out my plan right now. Pitt is a priority to me and my family. Their coaches have been real good with me and they seem to really like me.”

Pitt coaches are scheduled to visit Bryan this Wednesday in Florida.
