The transfers from the Pitt basketball program continued today as Suzie McConnell-Serio’s leading scorer announced she’s leaving Pitt.

Brenna Wise (Vincentian Academy) announced today that she plans on transferring from Pitt. Wise finished the 2016-17 season as Pitt’s leading scorer (14.3 PPG) and their top rebounder (6.4). Wise started all 61 games of her her career at Pitt and will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

“Brenna was a strong representative at the University of Pittsburgh and we wish her the best of luck as she pursues opportunities elsewhere. As a program, we will continue to recruit and develop well-rounded, team-oriented student athletes. It is a privilege to be part of the foundation of a winning culture. We remain committed to our core values of academic achievement, athletic excellence and community connection, and we are excited about our future,” said McConnell-Serio.

This announcement is a surprise considering Wise is from the area. No reason was given for her decision to transfer.
