Let’s go over the roster moves first.

The biggest story today for Duquesne basketball is going to be the decision of guard Mike Lewis.

Will the star freshman stay with the Dukes program or will he decide to transfer?

Lewis intends to announce his future plans this afternoon at 1 PM.

Considering the losses to the roster already, having Lewis return would be a big deal for Dambrot. Lewis was Duquesne’s leading scorer and best player last season.

One player that the new staff wasn’t able to convince to stay was sophomore forward Nayke Sanders. The university has given him his official release and he’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.

The two new offers that were extended went to a 2018 and 2019 prospect.

The first offer went to 2018 point guard Mac McClung (6-foot-1, 175 pounds) from Gate City, Virginia. According to Verbal Commits, McClung has early offers from Miami, Ohio, Kent State, Central Arkansas, Air Force, Marshall and Chattanooga.

The second offer went to McClung’s teammate Zac Ervin. The 2019 shooting guard (6-foot-5), has offers from Central Arkansas and James Madison.
