O’Neil to Visit Pitt This Weekend

A recruit with plenty of interest in Pitt will be visiting this weekend.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has confirmed that 2018 wide receiver Cameron O’Neil (Phenix City, Alabama) will make his first visit to Pittsburgh on Friday.

O’Neil has spoken to PSN in the past and expressed his interest in the Panthers, calling them his top school. Wide receiver coach Kevin Sherman has been O’ Neil’s top contact at Pitt and has done a great job recruiting him.

O’Neil strikes me as a recruit similar to incoming Pitt wide receiver Michael Smith. Like Smith, O’Neil isn’t being heavily recruited now but expect that to pick up during the season.

Aside from Pitt, O’Neil (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) has offers from Illinois, Memphis, Virginia and Wisconsin. I believe that O’Neil has zeroed in on Pitt and Virginia.

I would not be surprised if O’Neil makes a commitment to the Panthers this weekend, in fact, PSN expects him to do so.

Once again, Alabama wide receiver Cameron O’Neil will visit Pitt this Friday.
