The December National Signing Day is one week away.

Football coaches across the country are getting their last-minute visits in now because next week no personal visits are permitted.

As we told you about last night, Shawn Watson, Rob Harley and Kevin Sherman spent a couple of  hours with Florida receivers Jeshaun Jones and Shocky Jacques-Louis as they took part in a photo shoot with a Fort Myers newspaper.

Pitt is putting the full court press recruiting Jones, Jacques-Louis and Georgia’s Jatavious Harris.

We know that Harris will choose between Pitt and Louisville while Jacques-Louis has a final three of Pitt, Tennessee and Kentucky.

What about Jones?

This morning, PSN was able to catch up with Nicole Baran, the mother of Jeshaun Jones.

“He’s got it narrowed down but he doesn’t want to say the top three or four but Pitt is in there. I think he has a good idea where he’s leaning but is going to take the next few days to really think it through since he will be away from it all at the state All-Star game this weekend in Ocala,” said Baran.

“He’s enjoyed the recruiting process and the pressure is mounting but he knows it only happens once so he’s trying to embrace it.”

I asked Baran what will ultimately help her son come to his final decision on his future school?

“Relationships and the people are most important. He wants to choose a school where he’ll be cared about and also developed as a player and a man,” said Baran.

I asked Baran their reaction to Pitt coaches showing up last night to the newspaper photo shoot.

“Actually couldn’t believe that was even a “story” but yeah there were a couple Pitt targets in one place so why not.”

For those Pitt fans wondering, Jones does not want to mention his top three or four yet. He’ll announce them on Twitter when he’s ready. Mrs. Baran tells PSN that her son plans to personally call some of the schools that may or may not be in the top as a courtesy rather than they find out through twitter.
