A highly rated guard will be traveling to Pittsburgh next week for a visit.
4-star guard Au’Diese Toney (6-foot-6, 190 pounds) from Fayetteville, North Carolina tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will make an unofficial visit to Pitt next weekend.
After watching him last weekend at an AAU tournament in Indianapolis, Jeff Capel immediately offered him a scholarship.
Last night, we spoke to Toney and asked him about his reason for visiting and also if he could possibly re-classify to the Class of 2018.
“Coach Capel and his staff have been in constant contact with me since the first live period in Dallas. I feel like we’re building a good relationship,” said Toney. “I don’t know much about the city of Pittsburgh or the University so my family and I want to see and experience it firsthand.”
It sure seems like Capel is making Toney a priority, does he feel the same way?
“I do feel like the staff has made me a top priority for either the Class of 2018 or 2019. They have a plan designed for me in both classes but as of right now, I have not made any decisions on which class I will graduate in.”
Once again, 4-star guard Au’Diese Toney will be making an unofficial visit to Pitt next weekend.
