Busy Recruiting Day in Florida for Pitt

The Pitt football staff had a busy day yesterday recruiting the state of Florida.

PSN has confirmed that Charlie Partridge, Shawn Watson and Tim Salem were all in the Sunshine State and handed out a number of offers.

**2019 offensive tackle Jake Pope (6-7, 275) from St. Thomas Aquinas HS in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 3-star recruit has offers from Illinois, Michigan State, NC State, Syracuse, Central Florida and Virginia Tech.

**2020 linebacker Griffin Lampton (6-3, 195) from St. Thomas Aquinas. This was Lampton’s second Power Five offer with the other one from Louisville.

**2020 athlete D.J. Humes from St. Thomas Aquinas, which was his first Division One offer.

**2020 running back Tajae Davis (5-10, 200) from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This was his second offer with the other coming from Boston College.

**2019 offensive guard Jamari Williams (6-4, 275) from Cardinal Gibbons High School. Williams is a 3-star recruit with offers from Louisville, Kentucky, NC State, Boston College, Indiana, Mississippi State, Syracuse, South Florida and Central Florida.

The Cardinal Gibbons team held a scrimmage last night and both Partridge and Watson were there along with coaches from Miami, Florida, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, Kansas and Boston College. Keep in mind, along with the players offered yesterday, other players on Cardinal Gibbons that already have Pitt offers include 2019 3-star running back Vincent Davis, 2019 offensive tackle Kaleb Boateng and 2019 defensive end Khris Bogle.
