It’s hard to imagine a program getting nine commitments in a day but that’s what Pitt accomplished on this record day of recruiting.

Tonight, linebacker Brandon George (Reading, Pennsylvania) became commitment number nine of the day for Pat Narduzzi.

The big middle linebacker received the offer from Pitt in the last two weeks and decided to jump on it.

George (6-4, 230) is the 8th defensive player to join Pitt’s Class of 2019 and third linebacker (Leslie Smith and Khadry Jackson). However, looking at George’s size, you have to wonder if he’s someone that could eventually play defensive end.

George had over 18 offers but Pitt and Wake Forest were his only Power Five offers so he’s definitely someone that the Pitt defensive staff believes fits their defensive scheme.

It’s interesting that Pitt has eleven commitments and George becomes the first one from Pennsylvania.

PITT COMMITMENTS BY STATE:
–Florida: 5
–New Jersey: 1
–Maryland: 1
–South Carolina: 1
–Pennsylvania: 1
–Alabama: 1
–California: 1
