Pitt’s Big Day Continues as Both Nelms & Hill Commit

The worrying and conversation about the lack of Pitt football commitments is a thing of the past.

The record day of commitments was capped off when safety Brandon Hill and defensive Bryce Nelms made verbal commitments to the Panthers.

Nelms (6-6, 255) is a 3-star defensive end from West Orange, New Jersey. Nelms held Power Five offers from Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College and Duke.

Nelms joins Deandre Jules as defensive ends in Pitt’s class.

Hill (6-0, 190) is a 3-star safety from Apopka, Florida. Hill held Power Five offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Purdue and Virginia.

Hill and Nelms were the seventh and eighth commitments of the day and 10th overall for Pitt.

Of Pitt’s ten commitments, seven are on the defensive side of the ball and five are from the state of Florida.
